Searching
Searching the JoIS has options somewhat similar to Google searches:
| Capitalization | searches are not case sensitive |
| Automatic ‘or’ queries | results will include articles including any of the search words, but those with more terms will be rated higher |
| Forced inclusion | adding ‘+’ before a word will only return results which include that term |
| Exclusion | adding ‘-’ before a word will only return results which don’t include that term |
| Phrases | putting a phrase in double-quotes will return results containing that exact phrase (punctuation characters are ignored) |
| Wildcard | adding ‘*’ after a word will search for all words beginning with the word preceding the ‘*’ |
